If you would like to get involved in the life of our synagogue, there are a number of areas where your contributions would be appreciated. Temple is always in need of volunteers for all our committees. A few of the many ways to become involved are listed below, but the possibilities for volunteer efforts are virtually endless. Adult Education Committee
Organize adult education opportunities with Rabbi Teri and/or teach adult education classes
Help fundraise for renovations and maintenance for our building
Caring Community Committee
Reaching out to and supporting members of our community through hospital visits, Shiva support, and providing transportation, among many other things.
Preparing regular submissions or helping with the layout of Kol Tikvah and/or our website
Taking an active role in planning and/or implementing fundraising events and new ideas
Handling membership inquiries and subsidies, preparing and/or delivering Shabbat baskets to new members, and being actively involved in social events that promote member retention.
Planning and/or implementing social events such as the Chanukah party.
Religious School Committee
Become an active member of the Religious School Parent Committee, and organizing and/or volunteering at a school event.
Assisting as a lay leader when the rabbi is away. Develop policies dealing with issues relating to religious practices in the Temple.
Social Action Committee
Active involvement in planning and/or implementing social action programs.
Interviewing members regarding volunteer activity preferences. Organizing volunteers when required.
Organizing set-up and clean-up for Onegs for Shabbat services and special services. Taking tablecloths and dish towels home for laundering. Cleaning out fridge in kitchen.
Shabbat Greeters Committee
Serving as weekly Shabbat and special services door greeters.
