Erev Shabbat

Our regular Erev Shabbat service takes place every Friday at 7:30 PM. The services are led by our Rabbi, using the Mishkan T’filah siddur. Vocals, guitar and/or piano add a rich layer of musical accompaniment to the prayers, in addition to the harmonies of the congregation.

Shabbat Morning

Shabbat morning services begin at 10:30 AM. and are led by our Rabbi. Congregants engage in a participatory Torah study, asking questions and discussing the parashah during the Torah service.

Shabbat Shiraz and Musical Service

Every first Friday of the month, we invite our members to join us for Shabbat Shiraz before our Shabbat service at 7:00 PM to visit and unwind at the end of the week. You bring a bottle of wine to share, and we supply the cheese and crackers. Our musical service, led by our Rabbi along with a number of our Temple musicians, introduces new music in combination with a more traditional liturgy for an uplifting and lively evening.

Chant Meditation

Chanting, the melodic and rhythmic repetition of a sacred phrase transforms the liturgy’s words so that they become a path for shifting our consciousness to our energy and the energy of the group around us. The chant service is a meditative service based on the practices of Rabbi Shefa Gold, focusing on a few chants related to the weekly parashah and full of music designed to engage both body and soul. The chant service is held weekly on Saturdays in person in the Chapel and online at 1:30 pm following the Oneg.

Yizkor Service

As you may know, one way we Jews memorialize our deceased family members is by participating in a Yizkor memorial service four times a year – on Yom Kippur, Pesach, Sukkot, and Shavuot. These services allow us to stand with other members of our community who are remembering their loved ones and perform this ancient memory ritual together. Our next Yizkor service (Passover) will be on Monday, April 29, 2024, at 10:30 AM.
